[GALAPAGOS]

starts off amazing but......

My heart was in my mouth for the first minute or so.

because as soon as you see the hawk you know whats about to happen.

I felt this wonderful & overpowering flash was totally destroyed when later on, the one parent bird trys to go rescue his child, then, to totally take the piss, heroically dive under water to rescue his obviously dead son/daughter.

Im going to give this flash 5, perhaph as punishment for turning a gripping and epic story, showing the harshness of reality for animals living in the wild, into a stupid, disney-reject, farytale.

I beg you, fade out and end the flash just as the parent galapagno returnes to his nest to find his partner killed and his chick gone.
It'll make for a far more moving, and far more believable flash.

A Remarkable flash

far be it from me to be bullied into giving this one a "10" just because it I can't understand the plot.
The fact that the plot makes very little sense is the fault (or responcability) the film maker, not the viewer.

I would normally consider a short like this a big failure,
and say next time give us some info like,
why does she trip out when she sees her reflection?,
who or what is the manifestation in black suppose too represent, her darker side?, a fear of some sort?
perhaps a fear of her own reflection?

yes the graphics were amazing, I only wish you'd put them too good use and give us something we can make sense off.

there are probibly 100 people who have 100 different views of what that flash was about and what just happened to the girl it featured. but well done for the amazing mood directing.

unusual

I didn't know what to make of this one.

very original, even for newgrounds.

I reckon you could have picked a less depressing tune to overdub the flash, least people think you've led a monotonous & miserable life.

other than that it was good, rare finding movies so personal and meaningful on newgrounds.

except for the graphics it wasn't bad

I'm sick of that stupid old Moby song, It didn't put me in a very good mood while watching the flash.

the graphics weren't great and the cheesy "love" "money" text floating about seemed more humorous than anything else

I guess you get some credit for the touchy subject, and rather odd plot for the guys parents.

I give this a middle of the road 5,

Far too short

I didn't like this one.

the storyline is an absolutle joke. It's a boy going to the shop.
From what I gather It was something he was afraid of doing.

but why?, why so afraid of the shopkeeper,? you could have givin us some background, some text,anything!
Goodness knows the flash is crying out for some extra seconds to be added in.

it a shame such a excellently drawn flash had such a stupid and absurdly short story.

giving you more than 4 point for a movie so short would be a sin

nice but a bit cheesy

as refreshing as this animation looked, I was a bit dissapointed.

the subject that the movie is based upon is incredibly clichéd and corney and didn't suit the slick, minimal animation.

you'll notice I've givin both graphics and style a bad score, but I feel that under a different theme, perhaps something more radical or poignant
the animation style you've used would flourish and amaze.

I've been visiting this site for aobut a year now and that animation finally compelled me to register.

it was amazing. simply amazing.
